2013 in review

December 31, 2013

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 6,600 times in 2013. If it were a NYC subway train, it would take about 6 trips to carry that many people.

Updates

A review of July – December 2013 is now on my BSBI home page. No surprises for regular readers of this blog.

I have had a closer look at tetrads with no records and found that rather than 49 tetrad with no records in VC104, there are in fact 36.  One of the putative 49 had no land at all and 12 have been visited in recent years.  The remaining 36 include some with access difficulties like Eilean Trodday and Gaeilavore & Gearran Islands.  However, 2014 should see a further significant reduction from 36.

I have started work on updating the Rare Plants Register but as I shall be away for several weeks shortly, this is unlikely to be completed before February.
