Steve’s June

Steve Terry has sent his June records. Some have already featured on this blog but there are a number of new tetrad records and some red dots turned black (i.e. old records re-found).  One particularly interesting record is of Polystichum setiferum (Soft Shield-fern) which would be only the second Skye (and third vice-county) record. However, what is fascinating is that it is from the area where there are old records for Polystichum x bicknellii (P. aculeatum x setiferum) – and that would be great to find again as it appears to have gone from the only other known site in the vice-county.
