The Last Lyme Grass?

Leymus arenarius(Lyme-grass) is a rare plant in this part of the world.  Today I took the boat to check on a colony first found by my son twenty years ago when he was 14.  It is still flourishing on a skerry off Oskaig, Raasay.

A distribution map of this species in VC104  is accessible from here. Historically the only other localised sites were at Port Gobhlaig, Kilmaluag in NG47 from where it seems to have gone (perhaps lost during coastal development) and Rigg in NG55. Both Carl Farmer in 2006 and I in 2009 have visited this area and not recorded it, but I suspect neither of us was specifically looking for it so it may be worth another go. Other records for NM48 (Eigg or Muck), NG45, 50, 51 and 60 are only at the 10km square level, at least 36 years old, and in some cases anonymous.
